Dale attended the once every four year Evangelical Free Church (EFC) Asia Conference near Mt. Fuji, Nov. 2-5. About 300 people participated from 13 countries, including 5 of us from Tokyo Multicultural Church (TMC). On the last day of the conference Dale was approached by the EFC Japan chairman asking whether the chairman could mention TMC as an example of how the EFCJ is trying to focus on new ministry partnerships. Dale of course said yes, which led to a fruitful discussion about TMC, including our vision for planting more churches like TMC. TMC will be applying for official membership in the EFCJ within the next month.

Sumiko Furuyama, her grandson and his fiancee were at the Conference. Sumiko was part of our Sunrise Chapel EFC church planting project (1999-2004). At that time the two about to be married were toddlers at Sunrise!
